Featured in: The Adventure Handbook Vol. 1

Four years ago, in one of my first 35mm darkroom classes, I was assigned to shoot a roll on strangers. The exercise was designed to push us out of our comfort zones, approach people we find interesting, and expand our portfolios beyond just friends and family. 

One of my favourite images from that roll is of a young man in Times Square who, for hours, held up a poster reading, "TV is brainwashing."
